Mental health is defined as mental well being of a person in terms of emotional, psychological, behavior, social , it influences individual’s cognition behavior and perception. It is all about how people think, feel, and behave.

Mental well being enables people to cope with the stresses of life , realize their abilities , learn well and work well, manage interpersonal relationship, decision making and contribute to their community. The WHO states that mental health is “more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.” Peak mental health is not only about managing active conditions but also looking after ongoing wellness and happiness.
Everyone is at some of the risk of developing mental health disorder regardless of age, sex, income or ethinicity. Stress of life, interpersonal relations conflicts , social, financial circumstances, adverse or abused childhood experiences or abuse at work place , biological factors, underlying medical conditions , trauma can all shape a persons mental health . Many people with mental health disorder have more than one condition at a time
